Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CLARA A (registration code 16664854, Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Vesivärava tn 50-201, Estonia — the data controller) collects when you use likewave.io, how we use it and what rights you have. We designed LikeWave to collect as little personal data as possible: no account is required and we never ask for your Instagram credentials.
1. Data we collect
Data you provide. When you use a tool, you enter a public Instagram username or post URL. We use it only to fetch the requested public data and do not link it to you personally. If you email us, we receive your email address and message content.
Technical data. Like most websites, our servers automatically process IP addresses, browser type, device information, referring pages and timestamps in server logs for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
Public Instagram data. The tools display content that is already publicly available on Instagram (public profiles, posts, stories, comments). We cache this data briefly (minutes) for performance and do not build permanent profiles of Instagram users.
2. How we use data
- to operate the tools and deliver the results you request;
- to secure the Service, prevent abuse and rate-limit automated traffic;
- to measure aggregate, anonymous usage of the Service and improve it;
- to respond to your support requests sent to [email protected].
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the tools you request, Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement, Art. 6(1)(f)) and consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)).
6. Data retention
Server logs are kept for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) and then deleted or anonymized. Cached public Instagram data expires automatically within minutes to hours. Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for legitimate record-keeping.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by emailing [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Estonia this is the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
If you are an Instagram user and believe your public content should not appear in our tools, contact us and we will review your request promptly.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
