LikeWave vs Inflact

LikeWave offers free, no-login Instagram profile analytics. Inflact adds creator research, content analysis and paid profile tracking. See which tool fits your needs.

LikeWave vs Inflact

LikeWave and Inflact can both analyze public Instagram profiles without an Instagram login. The similarity ends there. LikeWave is a focused, free tool for checking recent profile and post performance. Inflact combines a free analyzer with a much larger system for creator research, content viewing, downloads, tracking and influencer outreach.

Short answer: choose LikeWave when you need a free Instagram profile analysis now and don't want to create an account. Choose Inflact when the same profile needs to be researched, saved, monitored or added to a broader influencer workflow.

How this comparison was prepared

This article is published by LikeWave, which gives the publisher a commercial interest in the result. Inflact didn't review or approve the article. We compared the public LikeWave and Inflact product pages, pricing information and stated limits available on September 14, 2026. No Inflact subscription was purchased, so paid features are described from Inflact's own documentation rather than presented as hands-on findings.

One Instagram profile, four different jobs

The easiest way to understand LikeWave vs Inflact is to stop treating “Instagram analytics” as one task. A creator checking yesterday's post needs something different from an agency building a list of 200 influencers.

Here is where each tool fits.

Job 1: Get a quick public-profile snapshot

LikeWave is the cleaner option.

Paste an Instagram username or public profile URL into LikeWave and the service generates one report. The report can show follower and following counts, total posts, engagement rate, average likes, average comments, recent-post activity and a chart of likes across recent posts.

No LikeWave registration is required. There is no Instagram sign-in, subscription selector or email gate before the report. That makes it useful when you only need to answer a small question: is this public account active, and how are its recent posts performing?

Inflact's Profile Analyzer can also accept a public username or profile link without an Instagram login. It shows follower and engagement information, publishing frequency, popular posts, topics, hashtags and a semantic analysis of caption tone. It offers more directions to explore, but its surrounding product is larger and introduces free-use limits and premium options.

Job 2: Study what a competitor publishes

Inflact goes further.

Inflact connects profile analysis with public posts, Reels, Stories and Highlights. Its analyzer highlights popular content, commonly used hashtags, captions and posting habits. Separate viewer and downloader tools let a user inspect or save publicly available content.

LikeWave covers the practical parts of a quick review. You can see recent post performance, open visible posts and use separate tools for public comments, Stories and videos. What it doesn't provide is an organized competitor-research workspace, saved creator lists or continuing profile records.

If you are looking at one competitor before a meeting, LikeWave may be enough. If research involves dozens of profiles, recurring checks and stored content, Inflact's wider system is more appropriate.

Job 3: Keep watching the profile after today

Inflact wins this job.

Inflact offers profile tracking for daily changes in follower count and engagement rate. Its current product pages also describe monitoring posts, Stories, comments, likes and mentions, with saved content and alerts available in the wider toolkit.

LikeWave provides a current public snapshot. We didn't find a LikeWave dashboard for saving profiles, receiving alerts or maintaining a dated history of changes. A user can return and run another check, but that isn't the same as automatic monitoring.

This is the clearest reason to pay for Inflact. The subscription isn't buying a nicer version of one number; it supports work that continues when you close the browser.

Job 4: Find and manage potential influencers

Inflact is built for this. LikeWave isn't.

Inflact's broader platform includes creator search, filters, profile analysis, contact information, shortlists and collaboration management. It can help a brand move from “find accounts in this niche” to a working list of potential partners.

LikeWave starts after you already know which username you want to check. It doesn't claim to provide influencer discovery, contact exports, campaign management or outreach.

That narrower scope is an advantage for simple checks and a limitation for campaign teams. Both things can be true.

What “free” means on LikeWave and Inflact

LikeWave has the simpler answer. Its public profile analyzer, Comment Viewer, Story Downloader and Video Downloader are presented as free tools. The site says there are no hidden fees, trial walls or registration requirements for the reviewed workflow.

Inflact uses a freemium model. The Profile Analyzer page calls the tool free and says no login is required. The same page offers paid access for higher limits, profile tracking, comments-and-likes tracking and other extended functions.

There is also a wording conflict worth knowing about. Inflact's descriptive copy says users can check accounts with “no limit,” while the pricing block on the same analyzer page lists a free viewer allowance of one profile per day with a seven-profile total limit and labels profile analytics as limited. Inflact has several connected modules, so those statements may refer to different counters. The page doesn't make that distinction clear enough.

At the time of review, Inflact's main pricing page listed a free plan, Research at €29 per month and Pro at €49 per month. Annual billing was advertised with a 30% saving. The Profile Analyzer page separately displayed a viewer-and-tracker premium option starting at €7.80 per month. Prices and module limits can change, so check the checkout screen before making a recurring-work decision.

For a single analysis, both tools provide a free entry point. LikeWave is easier to describe as fully free. Inflact becomes a paid-product decision once you need saved research, tracking or larger usage allowances.

What appears in the Instagram profile report?

LikeWave's report is organized around visible performance. Its useful fields include:

  • Follower and following counts
  • Total published posts
  • Engagement rate
  • Average likes and comments
  • A likes chart based on recent posts
  • Posting activity and links to visible content

You can see the ingredients behind the headline engagement rate. That matters when a single viral post has pushed the average upward or when recent content has slowed down.

Inflact approaches the profile as a research subject. Its public documentation describes follower count, engagement rate, posting frequency, popular posts, current Stories, hashtags, captions, content topics and semantic tone. Paid or extended products add tracking and wider audience information.

Inflact also advertises audience demographics, interests and follower-authenticity insights within its larger creator-research platform. Those fields shouldn't be assumed to appear in every free Profile Analyzer result. Inflact distributes features across its analyzer, search, tracker and paid plans.

Which tool is better for Instagram engagement rate?

LikeWave is the more transparent choice for a quick engagement calculation.

LikeWave explains the basic relationship used in its report: average likes and comments are compared with follower count. The visible average-like, average-comment and follower figures let a reader roughly reproduce the displayed rate.

The calculation can be written as:

Engagement rate = (average likes + average comments) ÷ followers × 100

Inflact also displays engagement information and promotes engagement tracking. Its analyzer page doesn't publish enough detail to show the exact post sample, treatment of Reels or handling of outliers behind every reported result.

Don't expect the two tools to return identical percentages. Public data changes, collection times differ and services can use different recent-post windows. For a fair creator shortlist, use one tool and one date across every account. Mixing methods creates precision that isn't really there.

Can LikeWave or Inflact detect fake followers?

LikeWave doesn't claim to be a fake follower checker. It presents public profile and post-performance data. A user may notice strange spikes, weak comments or an unusual relationship between followers and likes, but those observations don't prove that followers are fake.

Inflact markets its Profile Analyzer and creator-research products as tools for detecting fake engagement and reviewing follower authenticity. That gives Inflact the stronger feature set for influencer vetting.

The public pages reviewed don't explain a full validation method for those classifications. They don't show the false-positive rate, ground-truth sample or exact rules used to classify an account. Treat any authenticity result as a screening signal and inspect the creator's actual content, audience location and first-party Instagram Insights before paying for a campaign.

No outside service has complete access to Instagram's internal account history. Real users go inactive, giveaway participants follow many profiles, and unsolicited bot waves can affect accounts without the owner's involvement.

Registration, anonymity and private accounts

Neither LikeWave nor Inflact requires an Instagram password for the public analysis described on their product pages. Both work from a username or public profile URL.

LikeWave doesn't require a separate service account for its reviewed tools. Inflact says its public analyzer works without login, although saved profiles, tracking and paid plan management require an Inflact account.

Both tools are limited by Instagram privacy settings. A public-data analyzer can't reveal posts or Stories hidden inside a private profile. If you own the account and need reach, saves, shares, profile actions or detailed audience data, use authorized Instagram Insights.

Anonymous viewing also doesn't transfer usage rights. Ask the creator before republishing downloaded photos, Stories or videos in commercial material.

Who should choose LikeWave?

Choose LikeWave's free Instagram analytics tool when the question is immediate and tied to one public account.

It is a good fit for:

  • A creator checking visible performance without signing in
  • A small business reviewing a local competitor before planning content
  • A marketer who needs average likes, comments and recent-post patterns
  • A user who wants to read public comments or download one public Story or video
  • Anyone who doesn't need saved reports, alerts or influencer discovery

LikeWave's limitation is also its appeal. There isn't a campaign suite waiting behind the report.

Who should choose Inflact?

Choose Inflact when profile analysis is the beginning of a longer research process.

Inflact makes more sense for:

  • An agency monitoring several competitors or creators
  • A brand building and exporting influencer shortlists
  • A researcher who needs content-topic, hashtag or caption-tone analysis
  • A marketer who wants automatic follower and engagement tracking
  • A team prepared to pay for higher limits, storage and continuing workflows

You will get more functions, and you will have more limits, plan details and modules to understand.

A practical workflow using both tools

The products don't have to exclude each other.

  1. Run the first check in LikeWave. Review engagement rate, average interactions and recent-post performance without creating an account.
  2. Open the actual posts. Look at comment relevance, posting gaps, repeated formats and the difference between typical posts and unusual spikes.
  3. Move serious candidates into Inflact. Use its creator research, content analysis or tracking when a profile deserves continued attention.
  4. Request first-party evidence before spending money. Ask the creator for dated Instagram Insights covering reach, audience geography and recent sponsored content.

This keeps the first stage free and reserves paid research for accounts that survive the initial review.

Final verdict: LikeWave or Inflact?

LikeWave is the better free Inflact alternative for quick public Instagram analytics. It gives creators, small businesses and marketers a readable performance snapshot without registration, an Instagram login or a subscription decision.

Inflact is the stronger research platform. It extends beyond a single report into competitor tracking, creator search, audience signals, saved content, downloads and paid monitoring.

Use LikeWave to answer, “How is this public profile performing right now?” Use Inflact to answer, “Should we keep watching this account, save its content or add it to a campaign?”
